Franchisee Spotlight: Meaghan Terzis on Building Community Through the FIT House of Brands

Franchise | February 2026

For Meaghan Terzis, fitness has never been just about workouts—it’s about people, connection, and creating spaces where individuals can grow into the best versions of themselves. As the owner of F45 Westbend, F45 Masonville, and FS8 Hyde Park in Ontario, Canada, Meaghan embodies what it means to lead with heart while building a thriving, future-focused fitness business within the FIT House of Brands.

“I am so in love with what I’m doing right now,” Meaghan shares. “The fact that I have so many people in this community cheering us on, cheering F45 on—it’s incredibly fulfilling. I just see F45 continuing to grow, FS8 continuing to grow.”

One Vision, Two Complementary Brands- F45 Training and FS8

What makes Meaghan’s portfolio especially powerful is her ability to bring F45 and FS8 together under one cohesive vision. In a city environment, the pairing creates a dynamic offering that meets members exactly where they are in their fitness journey.

“F45 and FS8 are very different experiences, but they share the same alignment,” she explains. “They’re both high-energy and deeply community-based.”

While F45 delivers high-intensity, functional group training, Meaghan acknowledges that this style of fitness can feel intimidating for some. That’s where FS8 becomes a natural complement.

“If you’re looking for something that’s still high energy but low impact, you should come try FS8,” she says. “Now we’ve really targeted just about everybody when it comes to what they’re looking for in their workout.”

Together, the brands create a well-rounded ecosystem—high impact and low impact, strength and mobility, intensity and balance—without sacrificing energy or engagement.

Stepping Into Leadership—and Community

Meaghan stepped into ownership through pre-owned F45 studios, and the transition was met with overwhelming support from the existing member base.

“If you’re someone who wants to be a leader and if you’re looking for that community, I think the FIT House of Brands is the perfect fit”

Amy Edwards, Meaghan’s co-owner states, “Buying two previously owned studios can be unpredictable especially when the community is so strong.” The members took to them right away and the community continued to thrive.

That sense of belonging didn’t happen by accident. Meaghan’s leadership philosophy is rooted in growth—both personal and collective.

Amy also mentions “Meaghan wants the people around her to grow and be their best selves,” That mindset extends to her coaches, her members, and the broader community surrounding each studio.

F45 Training – Growth, Re-Energized

Meaghan points to 2023 as a pivotal year for F45 Training. From the evolution of athletes inside the studios to the changes happening at HQ, she’s seen a renewed energy that’s impossible to miss.

“The rebrands of the studios—it’s reigniting and re-engaging members,” she says. “There’s so much good coming from it.”

That evolution hasn’t only energized current members; it’s also brought former members back through the doors.

“People who were part of the brand years ago are seeing what it looks like now and wanting to come back,” Meaghan explains. “There really is a brand-new feel and vibe, and we’ve fully embraced it. It’s been a lot of fun.”

Balancing Business and Family Through Communication as a Franchisee

Like many franchise owners, Meaghan balances business ownership with family life—and she credits clear communication as the key to making it all work.

“We have a big family calendar,” she says. “We go through who needs to be where and when. That clarity makes everything smoother.”

That same communication style carries over into her studios, creating trust, alignment, and a sense of shared purpose among her teams.

Advice for Future Franchisees

When asked what she’d say to someone considering ownership, Meaghan’s answer is both honest and inspiring.

“If fitness and health light you up inside, if you want to show up every day and lead a team, and you’re craving community and building something meaningful—the FIT House of Brands has so much to offer,” she says. “From F45 to FS8, if it’s calling to you, it’s definitely worth exploring.”

Through her leadership, Meaghan Terzis exemplifies what’s possible when passion, community, and smart brand alignment come together. Her journey is a testament to the power of the FIT House of Brands—and to the people who bring it to life every day.
